Kazakhstan Rice Research Institute named after Zhakayeva has been in close contact with GIZ – International Cooperation Corporation for several years within the framework of the Eco Aral project. The GIZ program combines the global practice of integrated water resources management and experts from partner organizations. One of them is the International Institute of Water Resources Management (IWMI, Uzbekistan).
As part of the cooperation, the leader of the IMI project, Shavkat Kenzhabayev, came to our region and installed water measuring instruments and the installation of an agrometeostation at the scientific experimental site in Karaultob. The weather station will send the collected data with weather forecasts, air temperature, soil humidity and salinity, and wind pollution directions to a special site. In the future, this information will contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in our region.
