Library is one of the leading structural subdivisions providing information to the Institute’s employees.
The purpose is to organise the work on accounting, issue of book editions from the library fund. To provide library, information and reference bibliographic service to the readers.To ensure the safety of documents in accordance with the established rules.
The history of the library began its countdown from the moment of the beginning of work of the Institution.
Today the total fund of the library is about 50000 copies and includes the fund of fiction, textbooks and manuals on chemistry, agriculture, medicine, national economy and other branches of knowledge.
Subscription – a subdivision of the library, allowing to receive literature at home.
Reading room – a subdivision of the library, the literature in the collection of which is represented by educational publications, reference books (encyclopaedias, dictionaries, reference books). Literature from the collection of the reading room is not issued at home.
The most popular way of selecting literature on the necessary topic is to search in library catalogues and card catalogues.
Catalogues are alphabetical and systematic.
Alphabetical is a catalogue in which all cards are arranged strictly alphabetically by authors’ surnames or book titles. This is convenient when we know the names of books, its author.
In a systematic catalogue, the cards are arranged according to the content of the works. This is convenient when the reader does not know the author and title of the book and is looking for a book on a particular topic.
