Prospects for further development of the Institute
The established ecological situation in Kazakhstan’s Priaralie demands urgent research and development of new resource-efficient regional technologies of cultivation of agricultural crops ensuring full manifestation of the plant’s biological potential, increase in their productivity, restoration of lost soil fertility with reduction of salinisation and clogging and filling the resulting deficit of land and water resource.
The analysis of trends in the development of agricultural production in the Kazakhstan Priaralie shows that in the future it will develop under conditions of even more severe limitation of water, energy, raw materials, material and financial resources due to population growth in the region with increasing degradation of soil cover, salinisation processes and anthropogenic desertification.
Therefore, it is necessary to carry out advanced work on the creation of crop varieties, agricultural production technologies adapted to the conditions of the Kazakhstan Aral Sea region, meeting the requirements of ecologisation.
LLP “Kazakh Research Institute of Rice Husbandry” has highly qualified personnel for active participation and solution of problems facing the agriculture of Kyzylorda region.
And if today “Kazakh Research Institute of Rice Husbandry” LLP is a powerful research organisation with 70 years of experience in the region, tomorrow it will be a springboard for solving problems of degradation of arable land, desertification of vast territories and other environmental problems of agriculture of Kyzylorda region.
