It is known that in the case of water scarcity caused by global climate change, it is important to comply with the requirements of professional qualifications of water management specialists for the effective use and accounting of water resources.
In this direction, within the framework of the regional project of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) “Environmentally oriented regional development of the Aral region”, the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Rice named after Yu. Zhakaev, the International Institute of Water Resources Management (IVMI) are working and the Research Institute of Irrigation and Water Problems, together with specialists, organized a training seminar.
During the seminar, in order to further improve the skills of participating water management specialists and improve the water metering system, they were introduced to a modern water measuring device and learned how to use it, as well as how to select and calibrate the location and type of hydraulic posts in irrigation canals.
Following the results of the seminar, special certificates were awarded to the participants.
